Catering a Parker Hill Wedding

Next on third serving, Table and Thyme catered a beautiful wedding reception at Parker Hill in Auburn, Alabama.

This unique, family-owned venue is located in the heart of Auburn, but surrounded by scenery that makes it feel completely tucked away from the city. It’s a quiet, remote spot with an ornate log cabin featuring a wide wrap around porch.  The space offered a brick pad that is a simple canvas for any outdoor event. The wooded scenery definitely added to the atmosphere of this reception.

The event was decorated with a clear roof tent that served as a great backdrop for the sunset in the background. They were very lucky to have mild weather for this despite it being the first week of December! 

This also meant so much to the bride and groom after they unfortunately had to cancel due to Covid-19 several times. 

The menu was specifically tailored for allowing people to drink and socialize and never have to feel pressed to eat at certain times. The guests really seemed to enjoy this casual station style instead of a typical buffet spread!

First, a classic grazing table with bacon wrapped dates and crab stuffed button mushrooms.

Next, a Shrimp and Grits Station and a Carving station. The carving station offered our 26-hour smoked brisket, homemade barbeque sauce, and creamy sun-dried tomato airline chicken. This was definitely a crowd favorite where the chef was able to engage with event attendees.

Table and Thyme favorite Butternut Squash Au Gratin was a hit as usual. This was served with roasted veggies, edamame and sweet corn succotash.

The dessert station included pecan praline bread pudding, espresso mudslide shots, and banana fosters shooters. People actually loved these options instead of a traditional wedding cake!

Finally, some Late Night Bites: fried chicken biscuits drizzled with hot honey and chocolate chip cookie & milk shooters.
