One of the most important things I’ve learned in life so far is that growing never stops.
If you’re wanting to become a more successful version of yourself, you have to be willing to find ways to improve yourself all the time, even in moments you wouldn’t expect. For example, I was on vacation recently, spending time with my family and taking a moment to reconnect with myself away from the stress of everyday life. While I sat on the beach, I ended up reading an amazing book that inspired me so much I just had to share its message with others.
This book was such a good read, I ended up finishing the entire thing in about two-and-a-half days. It totally helped me stay motivated and in a productive mindset even while I was away from my work. The book I read is called Tribe of Millionaires and was written by a group of really awesome guys. These guys created a group for men to connect with each other with the mission of creating great human beings while developing strong relationships with like-minded people, but I’ll talk more about that later. The book itself is about a young man navigating the struggles of being an entrepreneur and trying to save his startup company. Life throws Ethan a major curveball when he loses his dad, while he explores his dad’s past, he finds a tribe that teaches him six lessons that make millionaires successful. These six lessons (called “effects” in the book) were so influential to me that I needed to spread the word about how much this book and these ideas can help other people in my shoes reach their full potential in life. Here is a breakdown of the six major effects to build a strong community of success:

The Influence Effect
The Influence Effect is the idea that your destiny is directly shaped by the people around you. Essentially, you need to be careful of the type of people you surround yourself with. If you find yourself surrounded by underachievers or people that don’t push themselves to continuously grow, you’ll be setting up your future to be the same. You need the people around you to not only elevate you, but to be on the same level as you otherwise you’ll be stagnant in life.

The Multiplier Effect
The Multiplier Effect is the effect that other people have on your efforts. This principle describes how having the right people in your circle, whether it is a personal group of friends or a professional group of associates, can directly impact your capabilities. If you want to amplify your success, you need to surround yourself with people who hold the same values and work ethic or that have experience with overcoming certain challenges, that way your unique skills and ideas can be shared in order to raise your level of success.

The Accountability Effect
The Accountability Effect is exactly what it sounds like. This idea suggests that having a support group or access to a community with a shared set of values is positive reinforcement for inspiration and holding you accountable. Mistakes will be made, it’s inevitable. Nobody is perfect, but I’ve learned first hand that these mistakes are what separate hard workers from unmotivated people. In order to overcome the obstacles that your mistakes can put in your path, you’ve got to be held accountable for the things you could have done better. Having a supportive group to lean on is a great way to take responsibility and build yourself up as a more productive and powerful person in different areas of your life.

The Authenticity Effect
The Authenticity Effect is referring to creating a space where you can reach your fullest, most authentic potential. By building a community of trustworthy people that you can confide in and connect with, you create an opportunity to explore your own boundaries and push yourself to become the most authentic version of you. Finding the right group of people means you have unlimited support on your life journey, which is vital to growth in any area of life. Independence is important, especially for entrepreneurs like myself, but you have to understand you can’t do everything alone. If you want to climb the ladder of success, having a helping hand to catch you when you slip is an invaluable asset.
The Purpose Effect
The Purpose Effect is something that I can personally attest to. This principle discusses the idea that surrounding yourself with the right people can help you find your purpose in life. There are several times in my life I thought I had reached my potential and then in no time I ended up surpassing it. I thought I would spend my life as a football coach, fulfilling my passion for teaching life skills to young men. As life went on, I found myself looking for other ways to satisfy my passion, expanding my skill set and jumping into the world of meal prep and planning with Mealfit. Now, I cater high-end events with Table & Thyme, curate healthy and easy options for busy people, and share the lessons I’ve learned through business and experience with my personal brand. If it weren’t for the people I’ve surrounded myself with, I may not have made it to this point. I think this is the perfect example of creating a strong network of highly motivated and hardworking people to help you achieve your goals. It’s through this community that you can access an immense power to inspire you and your journey, whatever it may be.

The Connection Effect
The Connection Effect is the cornerstone of this philosophy. The quality of the relationships you develop in life is what constitutes the quality of your life itself. People that have fleeting relationships with people that add no real value to their lives don’t have much potential for growth because there is no support. By knowing this, you can take active steps to build your own community and find the right people to elevate you and your life and to support your journey to success. Doing this ensures that you can reach your goals and live the life you want to live.
These lessons are so important for reaching your potential.
Tribe of Millionaires was such an inspiring and motivational read that I could hardly put it down. I know I was supposed to be relaxing while on vacation, but I think bettering yourself and learning new ways of being successful is a great way to spend your time. The authors, David Osborn, Mike McCarthy, Pat Hiban, and Tim Rhode, are all accomplished public figures that founded GoBundance, a place to explore new heights. They didn’t write this story for the sake of writing a story, they wrote this book to help hard working entrepreneurs find and live a life of abundance. GoBundance is a tribe of like-minded men in the same place in life to connect and live life to the fullest.
The more I read and learn about GoBundance, the more interested I become in its purpose and function. If you’re interested in learning more, their website has a ton of resources. They host events and trips designed to “heighten your sense of adventure, confidence, and fun, while thinking bigger and building authentic relationships.” You can also explore their membership options and get your hands on the very same book that inspired me to share these ideas: Tribe of Millionaires.
I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to build their own success in life and expand their community and network. Especially for other entrepreneurs and self-starters, this book has so many key teachings that can really help you push yourself to achieve the life you’ve always wanted. It’s also inspired me to build a similar community. I’ve had several conversations with other men with life goals similar to my own about starting a group to support one another and connect, so if you’re interested in being a part of that, feel free to reach out to me.
